A 19th century folk art souvenir picture of various seaweeds found along the northwest coast of England, all delicately arranged in a basket.  With printed inscription beneath:

 

'Specimens of seaweeds and zoophites from the Isle of Man and New Brighton near Liverpool 1853'.
